About Jules Peacocke

I started my hairdressing career in Tauranga, New Zealand. I had the privilege of learning from some very talented masterful hairdressers who, like Picasso says, “learned the rules like a pro, only to break them like an artist”.

How this translates to hairdressing is really important.

Having employed hundreds of hairdressers in my salons in Sydney, Australia, I have witnessed a systemic degradation of hairdressing skills across the board.

After 30 years in the industry, I got so wound up about it, I even made a podcast called Hairdressing, we have a problem.

I am a hairdresser that has been classically trained. That means that structure, balance, symmetry and a deep knowledge of colour theory and chemistry as it applies to hairdressing are the core foundational pillars of my work.

Once you know the foundational rules which guarantee beauty, precision and a hairstyle you love from the moment you get out of the salon chair to your return appointment in 4, 6, 8 or 10 weeks when I ask you to return, you will have a hairstyle that you love, is easy to style and, with a bit of care, will look great every day.

There are a lot of misconceptions about hair and how much it should cost. I’m not going to argue that with you.

I make sure you get value from your time with me, the work that I do and the advice I ask you to follow.

I hope to see you soon.

Cheers, Jules x

Things to know before you book an appointment with me:

Pricing:

I charge for my expertise, time and materials.
The price of your hairdressing services is a combination of the amount of product, steps involved and time required to achieve the look you desire.
After I have consulted with you, you will be provided a quote for the services you will receive.

Because I work part time in Thames, I can’t quote the work accurately until I have seen you in person and have conducted a consultation. If you need certainty before committing to an appointment, then book a consultation appointment with me first.

Deposits are required for all appointments:

As I divide my time between Sydney and Thames, I need to streamline my processes as much as possible. All appointments need to be booked online and require deposits to ensure clients that want to see me, actually turn up.

Notice Period for Appointment changes:

A minimum of 24 hours notice is required of a change otherwise your deposit is forfeited.

Happy Hair Guarantee:

It’s important to me that you love your hair.
I offer complimentary adjustments to ensure your complete satisfaction. Note, these do not extend to a change of mind. Please send me a message via the contact form on this website within 3 days of your appointment. Because I work part time (sorry to hammer that home), I may not be able to fix any problems immediately, but will do my absolute best.
